Thomas S. Brownback is a licensed psychologist and Executive Director of Brownback & Associates, bringing over four decades of experience in psychological care. He specializes in evidence-based therapy, biofeedback, and advanced brain-based assessment, with a long-standing commitment to helping individuals achieve emotional balance, resilience, and personal growth.

Thomas S. Brownback is a licensed psychologist with more than forty years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1980, he has devoted his career to helping people achieve emotional balance, personal growth, and long-term resilience through thoughtful, evidence-based care.

 

A former United States Marine, Mr. Brownback brings discipline, integrity, and a deeply integrative perspective to his clinical work. He completed his graduate training in psychology at Temple University and pursued advanced post-graduate studies in theology, with a particular emphasis on the integration of psychological science with personal belief systems and values.

Mr. Brownback is Board Certified as a Senior Fellow in Biofeedback and EEG Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) and holds Diplomate status in Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) through the International QEEG Certification Board. These credentials reflect his extensive experience in neurofeedback, applied psychophysiology, and brain-based assessment.

 

As Executive Director of Brownback & Associates, Mr. Brownback provides clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship within a multidisciplinary outpatient practice committed to individualized, holistic care. His approach emphasizes careful listening, collaboration, and respect for the whole person while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity.

 

Mr. Brownback is widely recognized for his early contributions to the use of neurotherapy in the treatment of dissociative disorders. He is the co-author of the chapter “Neurotherapy in the Treatment of Dissociation” in Introduction to Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback (Evans & Abarbanel, Eds., Academic Press, 1999) and was listed in the 1993–1994 edition of Who’s Who in the World.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Brownback has presented workshops, lectures, and keynote addresses at professional conferences and community organizations and has appeared on regional and national television. His professional affiliations include the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, the International Society for Neuroregulation & Research (ISNR), and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
